How to get started with Siri AI

Check eligibility first, then enable the beta in Settings. You do not need a third-party app to begin.

1. Check before you update

Apple lists Siri AI as a beta on OS 27. You need supported hardware, matching device and Siri languages, an eligible Apple Account region and an age of at least 13. Back up your device before changing system software. A compatible device alone is not enough.

2. Turn it on deliberately

After updating to a supported system, open Settings and choose Siri. Turn Siri on if needed, then choose Try Siri AI (Beta). Follow the onscreen steps to select a voice, complete voice enrollment and review privacy settings. Read what access you are granting rather than accepting every option automatically.

3. Wait for setup, then try one task

The download begins automatically after setup. Apple says a waitlist may apply when demand is high. Once ready, start with a simple question or ask what Siri AI can do in Calendar or Notes. Review the answer and any proposed action. Do not use the separate third-party developer preview as an installation shortcut.
